Vehicle Compatibility Notes

The vehicle models listed above represent platforms on which this rooftop tent is commonly used by customers.

It is important to ensure that both your vehicle roof and roof rack dynamic load ratings are sufficient to support the tent.

Tent Specifications

  • Open dimensions (L × W × H): 75" × 87" × 52"
  • Closed dimensions (L × W × H): 75" × 55" × 13"
  • Tent weight: 221 lbs
  • Weight capacity (static): 900 lbs
  • Roof rack load capacity: 110 lbs

Rear Hatch & Tailgate Clearance

Rear hatch or tailgate clearance depends on the relationship between the vehicle’s usable roof length and the tent’s closed length.

If the tent closely matches or exceeds the usable roof length, rear hatch or tailgate clearance may be limited, and full opening may not be possible.

Common solutions include:

Depending on the vehicle and mounting position, the following solutions may help improve clearance:

  • Repositioning the tent forward on the roof rack
  • Using a full-length platform rack
  • Adding rack risers or spacers
  • Upgrading rear hatch lift struts
  • Using a bed-mounted or external support system (exoskeleton rack), where applicable

Load Capacity & Support Systems

If your vehicle roof or roof rack does not meet the required dynamic load capacity, an external support system (such as an exoskeleton rack) may be required to safely carry the tent.

Important Disclaimer

Always verify specifications with your vehicle and roof rack manufacturer prior to installation.

Installation Guide

  1. Two-Person Setup Required
Mounting your tent requires at least two people for safe lifting. The Stealth Rooftop Tent can be installed and opened from either side of the vehicle, though it’s optimized to open on the passenger side. Its tapered aerodynamic design reduces wind drag while driving.

  2. Position & Hardware Setup
Using the supplied mounting plates and hardware, slide the bolts into the lower mounting channel — two bolts per corner (one in front and one behind the vehicle’s crossbars).

  3. Bracket Installation
Run the bolts through the mounting bracket holes and thread the nuts onto each bolt. Ensure they’re properly aligned before tightening.

  4. Final Positioning
Confirm the tent is centered, balanced, and positioned as desired. Once satisfied, tighten all hardware securely until the tent is completely stable and cannot shift.

  5. Tent Opening
Release the side buckles and push up on the handle to activate the hydraulic struts. The tent will lift effortlessly. Extend the telescoping ladder fully, then pull down until the folding side is completely open.

  6. Ladder Adjustment
Adjust the ladder to your preferred height and angle for safe and comfortable access.

  7. Final Setup
Insert the supplied tension rods into the window and door overhangs to create shade and ventilation. Open the main door, step in, and your setup is complete.
